Description
Aji Limo is a Capsicum Baccatum variety that is native to Peru, specifically the region of Lima. Scoville rating for this variety ranges between 30,000 - 60,000. Like many other Aji varieties, it has a pleasantly sweet aroma with a hint of citrus. Once fully matured, the pepper turns bright yellow. Some of the popular uses for this pepper is in ceviche recipes and salsas.

What are the cons? Fair amount of seeds, does not like cool weather, needs full sun
Review:I grew a burpee Hot Lemon aka Aji Limo this year and it was totally worth it! The plant is quite the producer putting out easily over +100 pods in a 2.5 gallon bucket. The plant was slow in the beginning until the weather warmed up around May at which point it exploded into a wide cone shape, with lots of forking. I suggest topping the plant when it is around 6-7" high. The peppers have a fair heat to them but the burn quickly fades as fast as it starts. The zesty taste of the pods makes it excellent when combined with poultry.
