The peri peri pepper is native to Southern and Eastern Africa. It's name basically means pepper in Swahili. The peppers range from 50,000 to 100,000 on the Scoville scale and are perfect for tex mex food. When fully grown he plant can reach up to 1m tall and produces the small red fruit. It is also known as the African Birdseye pepper or Piri piri.
