Characterized by its pods' unique shape, this plant grows into an upright, riotous bush with multitudes of squat, brilliantly coloured pods.  The pods begin a rich green and ripen to either red, or the rarer bright orange.  Upon cutting open, the pod's aroma is a fresh, fruity scent reminiscent of peaches or apricots.  The flavour of a fully ripened pod is a rich, deliciously sweet, fruity flavour, again reminiscent of peaches and apricots.  Its heat is notable and immediate, but not overwhelming.
