Description

Like most Aji varieties, the Aji Habanero is known for it's complex flavor. The reason it is called (Habanero) is not for it's heat. The habanero aspect of this pepper comes from the direct taste, tasting very much like the flesh of a  habanero. This pepper is very prolific, growing tons of 2-3 inch pods on the plant. The calyx of this variety is a whitish color. Pods will ripen from green to a yelow-orange color when mature. SHU is 5,000-10,000 so eating them off the stem will not be a challenge.
