Description

Magenta features thick crunchy leaves that are hesitant to go bitter. Has fair heat tolerance and can be grown much longer than standard lettuce in Zone 9b. Very tasty leaves and fast growing. Harvest the outer leaves as needed and a few plants will supply you with a daily crunch for a long time. It seems to have a natural bug repellent and has rarely been seen with Aphids and/or other pests while other verities in the same area have been loaded with critters. Not only will it grow for the majority of the year, it’s also ornamental with its bronze leaves. A total winner.

Also resistant to the following:

Downy Mildew
Lettuce Mosaic Virus
