Description

An African-American heirloom popular in the Philadelphia/Baltimore region. A pre-1947 variety that was used in fish and shellfish cookery. The color of the fruit range from green, orange, brown, white and red, and show as stipes going vertically on the pods.

Fairly small pods which are unusually loaded with seeds. The plant is very ornimental with white and green mottles foliage. The heat is slightly more agressive than a Jalapeno.
