Description
Originally cultivated in India, this pepper held the record for hottest pepper in the world from 2007 to 2010. Standing at a whopping 400 times hotter than Tabasco sauce, this pepper must always be handled with gloves and extreme caution. Rightfully earning its name of a Superhot pepper, the ghost pepper tops out at about 1,000,000 SHU.

19.09.2017 01:58:14What are the pros? Low-maintenance, very bountiful harvests once past 2-3 ft, excellent in cooking, keeps away bigger predators, is the base pepper for pepper spray.
What are the cons? Must wear gloves when slicing or cooking, EXTREMELY HOT!
Review:I have personally LOVED growing these ghost peppers. They're easy to cook with, have a ridiculously long shelf life (6 Months!), and are excellent when dried or turned into pepper flakes. Paired with my Lemongrass plant, these two plants are the king of all kings when it comes to natural pest prevention, with the peppers keeping away big predators and the Lemongrass keeping away the small ones. Overall, these peppers are great to have around, whether it's for cooking or just to have something pretty to look at.
