Greek Oregano is an herb with strong aroma and flavor.  People sometimes misidentify Wild Marjoram as Greek Oregano, but a good way to tell them apart is the strong taste and white flowers.  Wild Marjoram is tasteless and have pink flowers, while Greek Oregano has intense flavor that causes a tingling sensation at the end of your tongue when fresh, and the flowers are white.  

Greek Oregano is a perrennial plant that can be very hardy.  They are drought tolerant once roots have established and will spread like weed.  They are best grown in pots or contained areas.  Well drained soil is best for these plants.
