- Bulgarian Carrot Pepper
Description
According to many sources, this showy variety was smuggled out of Eastern Europe through the Iron Curtain. The plant is smaller and slower than many varieties, but is still considered relatively early-bearing. It produces bright orange, slender, moderately thick-walled pods with a slightly tough skin. Its moderate heat is slow to build, often resulting in a surprise after eating more. It's flavour can be described as a warm fruity flavour. According to many sources, the plant can tolerate cool weather.
