Native to Asia, it has been used in Asian cousin for a very long time, and is considered to be a super food (the small red fruits are packed with aminoacid betaine). The plant is not particularly picky with the growing medium, but will not grow to its full potential unless the soil is nutrient rich and loamy. Will grow up to 7 feet and produce an abundance of fruit.
