Description

A native to the eastern North America and is most common in the Ozarks. Blooms throughout spring to late summer (will only bllom late summer if sown from seed earlier in the year). Cultivated for its showy spiny flowers but is broadly used in folk medicine. Easy to grow as Echinacea does not really care what soli it grows in, though it prefers loamy or sandy, well-drained soils.
