The variety Romanesco Broccoli that also goes by the name of Roman Cauliflower is an odd yet beautiful edible bud widely grown in Italy, and highly saught after by chefs. Looking like a cross between both Broccoli and Cauliflower the plant produces in a light green color with geometrical spiral shapes. It is easy to become fascinated with the look of this plant. The flavor of this broccoli is similar to Cauliflower with a nutty undertone that gives it a unique appeal. If you are to grow this variety you should sowe the seeds indoors then put the plants in the ground at the end of April and harvest in fall.
