Description

Probably one of the most useful, beneficial plants you can grow, and once stablished, there is very little you can do to kill it. Gorgeous, large, fuzzy green leaves continue to erupt all season from the root crown, and gentle nodding purple flowers pop up to provide nectar adored by bees. An almost endless list of usages. Due to it's long taproot, it accumulates large amounts of nutrients and minerals normally only reached by trees, and brings it up to the surface again.

Known for it's medicinal properties, it's also spectacular as a mulch or in compost, as animal fodder, and few plants attracts bees as easily as the flowers of the Comfrey. In warmer climates, its large canopy can be fully cut down to the ground 5-6 times a year since it grows back fast and provides you with large amount of organic matter each year.

Bocking #14 is sterile and will not spread via seeds, but it can be easily propagated via root cuttings.
